6 Essential Oils for stress free travelling!

The wait if finally over and many of us are travelling again. Before knowing about essential oils I choose to travel with all kind of medication to cover myself for any possible injuries or illness. I would bring a ziplog bag filled with medication. Especially when travelling to remote areas where medicine is not always easily available.

Now I simply choose to travel with my oils and they are sometimes a true holiday saver.

Below are some of my must haves essential oils when travelling

1. Peppermint

This is such an allrounder oil, which can be used for so many things. Its really great for digestion e.g. if you feel you have eaten something wrong you can immediately apply a drop of peppermint on your abdominal, repeat after 10 minutes if necessary.

If you are feeling hot apply one drop on the neck and you feel literally cool down your body. You can also apply a couple of drops on any part of the body you experience any tension (e.g. neck, head etc.)

2. Lemon

Lemon essential oil is cold pressed from the rinds and contains naturally occurring limonene which has proven in studies to support a healthy immune system.

Simple put a drop in a glass of water and drink several times a day (Vitality or plus range). Its also great to diffuse for those smelly hotel rooms.

3. Lavender

Lavender is called the swiss knife of essential oil and can be used for so many things.

Sometimes when I am in a new environment and I am not sleeping as well as at home I simply put a couple of drops on my pillow to get a restful sleep.

4. Thieves blend

A blend of rosemary, eucalyptus, lemon, cinnamon and clove is my steady travel companion. Before I step into the plane I put one or two drops on the sole of my feet to keep me healthy. I am also diffusing the oils when arriving at my hotel to clean the air.

5. Stress Away blend

A delicious smelling blend of lime, vanilla, lavender, ocotea and copaiba, If travel plans change or if you get nervous before boarding a plane simple put one or two drops on your temple and wrist and take a few deep breath in to calm your nervous system.

6. Valor blend

A blend of black spruce, camphor, blue tansy, frankincense, geranium

Strengthening and empowering, balances the energies in the body! Apply one or two drop on the sole of the feet
